I tell honest stories about identity, love, family, grief, masculinity, and the quiet work of choosing peace.
I'm Jonathan Westley — a writer, podcast host, and student of history. My work lives at the intersection of memoir and reflection: the small moments that shape who we become and the long roads that bring us home to ourselves.
On The Jonathan Journals, I publish written stories and personal essays. On Conversations on the Road, I share weekly episodes — some solo reflections, some conversations with friends along the way.
I'm currently studying history — African-American history and the African diaspora — the long path our people have walked, and what it still has to teach us. When I'm not writing or recording, I'm traveling, reading, and documenting the journey.

The show travels two roads. Short Drives are solo reflections under thirty minutes — the thought you can take with you. Long Roads are full conversations with friends along the way — the kind that earn the miles.
